Gas safety - use a qualified gas engineer!
I read an interesting story the other day about using a properly experienced and qualified gas engineer (read the full story here). Essentially, a woman decided to have a gas fire put installed in her dining room. A gas fitter working as an operative for a registered business quoted them for the fire installation on behalf of the business, and then offered to do the work 'for mate's rates'. Wanting to save money and believing he was registered privately the woman chose him for the work.
Soon after the installation, she began having heavy nosebleeds and severe headaches. Little did she know that they were possible symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning.
So, always insist on a qualified gas engineer. One we can recommend is Radiate Plumbing in Exeter. Check out their website for good honest prices and the assurance they are fully qualified gas engineers located in Exeter.
